An equity-research site that untangles the morning sales note.
Before the open a sales note and a research question land in one address and neither gets a clean answer. Sales@ is the client who wants to reach a salesperson. Research@ is the person who wants the firm's published work or a correction to it. Compliance@ holds the disclosure that has to travel with a rating. The page separates those before the bell. A price target on this site would be the studio writing research, which it does not do.
Sales mail and research mail before the bell
Two links, before any prose about a stock. Sales@ asks for the client name and the salesperson they already know. Research@ asks for the title of the note and whether the writer is reporting an error or requesting the file. A blended inbox before the open means the error report waits behind a meeting request. Compliance@ is not the place to book a meeting. Say that in the labels. People at this hour do not read essays.
The firm may list sectors it already covers. It may not list a rating beside the sector, because a rating without the note and the disclosure is a fragment that trades as advice. If a current note is public under the firm's rules, research@ can point to it. The studio will not write the note, the price target, or the rating. A blank that says target pending is still a target. Leave the blank off.
Price targets stay in the firm's note
A price target lives inside the document the firm published, with the date and the analyst the firm names. The homepage does not lift it into a table. Tables get copied into chats and lose the disclosure. Research@ sends the document or refuses. Sales@ does not read the target aloud in a way the site then transcribes. If a client asks sales@ for the number, the path on the page is to send them back to the note.
Corrections are research@ work. A wrong ticker, a wrong rating word, a chart that does not match the note: those go to research@ with the page number. Compliance@ is copied when the writer says the disclosure was missing. Sales@ is copied only if a client meeting is also at stake. Three copies on every note train the team to ignore all three. The page should tell the writer which single box is primary.
Ratings travel with the firm's disclosure
Disclosure is not a footer novelty. The page says which disclosure accompanies a rating and where the file lives. Compliance@ owns that file. If the firm has a standard research disclosure, link it and date the link. Do not rewrite it into marketing. A rating word on a bio page, next to an analyst photo, needs the same file one click away. If the firm will not do that, the rating word comes off the bio.
Sales questions that arrive before the open are often just coverage: who covers the name. Sales@ can answer coverage from a list the firm maintains. It cannot answer what the stock will do. Research@ can say whether a note exists. It cannot preview a price target that is not in a published note. The options desk and the stock desk are different pages. Link the firm, not a trade idea.
Growth fits a research desk that must split sales@ from research@ before the open and keep every rating attached to the firm's disclosure.
Motus does not write a research report, a price target, or a rating.

Questions
- Where do equity research questions go when they arrive before the open?
- Research@ takes a note request or a correction. Sales@ takes a client trying to reach a salesperson. A single address before the bell buries an error report behind a meeting. Compliance@ is for the disclosure file, not for booking the meeting.
- Who is allowed to write a price target on an equity research page?
- Only the firm, inside a note it published, with a date and the analyst it names. The homepage does not lift the number into a table. This studio does not write the target. A blank labeled target pending is still a target and stays off.
- What rating disclosure has to travel with the research desk's own word?
- The firm's standard file, linked and dated, owned by compliance@. The studio does not rewrite it. A rating beside an analyst photo needs that file one click away. If the firm will not attach it, the rating word comes off the bio page.
- Can an equity page publish a target this studio came up with?
- No. Research@ points to a published note or refuses. Sales@ may say who covers a name from the firm's list and may not say what the stock will do. The options and stock pages, if linked, are other desks, not trade ideas.
