Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what Motus Website collects on motuswebsite.com, why we collect it, and how to reach us. Motus Website ("we", "us") is a private studio that builds websites, apps, and software, including sites for carriers and brokers. We are not FMCSA, not USDOT, and not motus.dot.gov. The official Motus program is at https://motus.dot.gov. This policy was last updated on October 3, 2026 and applies to the pages on this host, the contact and intake forms, and the advertising tags described below.

Who this policy covers

It covers visitors who browse the site, people who call or email the studio, and people who submit the contact or intake form. It does not cover a website we later build for a client on that client's own domain. Once a project is handed over, the client's own privacy notice governs that other domain. Sister sites such as Motus Directory, O Trucking, USA Trucker Choice, Trucking Jobs In USA, Truck Dispatch Experts, and Direct Fleet Dispatch are separate hosts with their own pages. A link from our footer to one of those sites leaves this policy behind.

Information you give us on a form

The contact and intake forms ask for information you choose to send so we can answer a project request. Depending on which fields you fill, that can include your legal company name, a DBA, a phone number, an email address, what you need (a website, a web or mobile app, custom software, a carrier or broker site, business email, or "not sure yet"), a website package selection, a preferred domain, a USDOT number, an MC number, notes about the job, and an existing company website. Directory visitors can arrive with company and DOT values already filled from a query string. Those values are the same kind of intake data as if you typed them.

We use that information to reply, to scope a website, app, or software job, to send a Stripe payment link if you ask to buy a package, and to keep a record of what we agreed. We do not use the form as a place to collect a Login.gov password, a Motus password, a bank login, or a full card number. The form says we never ask for Motus or Login.gov passwords. Do not send those, and do not send a social security number, a medical card, or a scan of a driver's license. If a message includes them by mistake, write to us and ask us to delete the message.

Information collected automatically

The host and this site's security tools may keep a short request log. A typical log line can include your IP address, the date and time, the URL you requested, the status code, a referrer, and the user agent string of your browser. We use those logs to keep the site up, to block abuse, and to debug a broken form. We do not run a separate analytics product on this site. We do not build a marketing profile from the log. Logs are kept only as long as the host's ordinary security retention, then they drop off.

Payments

Website packages that are offered for sale are paid through Stripe Payment Links. Stripe collects the cardholder data on Stripe's own page. We do not store full card numbers, card verification codes, or full magnetic-stripe data on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy describes what Stripe does with payment data. We may receive from Stripe a confirmation that a payment succeeded, a customer email, the amount, and the package name, so we know which build to start.

Cookies and Google AdSense

This site is authorized for Google AdSense publisher ca-pub-7668356157282857 (the ads.txt publisher id pub-7668356157282857). The verification tag in the page head loads https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js for that publisher. That script can set or read cookies and similar identifiers, including on domains Google uses for advertising. Google may use those cookies to measure ad delivery, to cap how often an ad is shown, to fight fraud, and, if a personalized-ad setting is on in your Google account, to select ads based on sites you have visited. We do not sell that cookie data. We do not receive your Google account contents.

As of October 3, 2026 this site does not place an AdSense ad unit (no adsbygoogle ins element). The publisher script can still be present so Google can verify the site. If ad units are added later, they will use this same publisher id and this same disclosure. You can control Google's ad personalization at https://adssettings.google.com and you can opt out of some third-party advertising cookies at https://optout.aboutads.info or https://optout.networkadvertising.org. A browser "do not track" signal is not something we have a separate response for beyond what Google and your browser already do. Blocking third-party cookies in the browser will limit what the AdSense script can store.

Essential cookies, if the host sets any, are only there to keep a security check or a load-balancer from breaking the page. We do not use cookies to remember a shopping cart, because checkout happens on Stripe. We do not use cookies to log you into an account on this site, because this site does not have a customer login.

We do not sell personal information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising of our own. We do not rent our form submissions to list brokers. A payment to Stripe, a request log at the host, and the AdSense script described above are service providers and an advertising partner, not a sale of our customer list. If you are a California resident, we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those words are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we will not discriminate against you for asking us to say so. If a law in your state gives you a right to know, delete, or correct personal information we hold, use the contact details at the end of this policy and we will respond.

Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to run the studio. Stripe processes the payment. The hosting provider (Cloudflare, in front of the site) delivers the pages and keeps the security log. Google may receive the technical data its AdSense script collects, under Google's policies, when that script runs. An email provider delivers mail you send to info@motuswebsite.com. If we hire a contractor to build the site you ordered, that person sees the project notes required to do the work and is not free to use them for anything else. We may also disclose information if a law, a court, or a government request requires it, or to protect the studio, a client, or the public from fraud or abuse. We do not hand form data to FMCSA and we do not file on motus.dot.gov for you.

How long we keep it

We keep intake messages and project email for as long as we are talking about the job and for a reasonable period after, so we can answer a follow-up, a refund question, or a dispute about what was ordered. Payment records that Stripe or our books must keep for tax reasons are kept for the period the tax rules require. Security logs follow the host's shorter retention. If you want a message deleted sooner, ask. We will delete what we can still find, except where we have to keep a copy for tax, fraud prevention, or a legal claim.

Security

Pages are served over HTTPS. The form is delivered from this host. No method of transmission or storage is perfect. Do not send passwords or government identity numbers in the form. If you think a message to us was exposed, email info@motuswebsite.com and call the studio number on this site.

Children

This site is a business studio for companies, carriers, and brokers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent us a form, contact us and we will delete it.

Privacy requests, correction requests, and deletion requests go to the studio, not to a carrier and not to FMCSA.
