A Treasury site with one door for bills and one for settlement.

One visitor wants a Treasury bill explained in ordinary words. Another visitor wants the institutional settlement contact and already knows the auction calendar. Those are different arrivals, and treasuries@ cannot be both unless the page says one person reads it. Clients@ holds the existing account. Settlements@ holds the fail and the date. The page will not quote a yield and will not call a bill, a note, or a bond a safe choice.

A bill question and a settlement contact

The bill question is a definition plus a door. Say what a Treasury bill is in one or two sentences the firm is willing to own, without a rate. Then say whether this desk serves a person asking for the first time. Treasuries@ can take that note. A visitor who already has an account and wants a status check writes clients@. Mixing those two in one cheerful form makes the new reader wait on a wire problem.

The settlement contact is a name, an address, and the hours settlements@ is read. Institutional mail should not land on a page that only explains what a bill is. Put a second button on the same screen, labeled for operations, not for education. If the firm clears through someone else, say that in the firm's words and stop. Do not invent a direct window the desk does not have.

Notes and auctions stay off the yield line

A note question is the same shape as a bill question with a longer life, and the page can say that without a coupon quote. Point the reader at the firm's own description or at the document the firm is allowed to share. Auction questions belong to people who already know the calendar and want the desk's cutoff, not a lesson. Treasuries@ can publish the cutoff the firm actually uses. A guessed cutoff is worse than silence.

Do not rank bills against notes, and do not rank either against a bond the firm also trades. The discount page and the municipal page are separate if the firm does that work. This screen is the Treasury door. Clients@ remains the place an existing holder asks about a position. A comparison table on the homepage will be read as advice even if the footer says otherwise.

Two doors for education and for operations

Education mail and operations mail need different labels even when one analyst reads both before noon. The label is a claim about subject, not about headcount. Write it that way. A retail reader who wants a bill defined should see treasuries@ and a sentence about what to include. An operations reader should see settlements@ and a sentence about identifiers, dates, and which side is asking. Same hour, different door.

Nothing on either door is a yield. If a visitor asks for one, the reply the page describes is a refusal to quote, plus the offer to talk about whether the desk can trade the instrument at all. That is a coverage question, not a price. Clients@ does not become a quote desk because someone typed a rate into the form. State the refusal near the buttons so the form does not invite it.

Growth fits a Treasury desk that must show a bill reader and a settlements@ contact as separate doors, with no yield and no safety claim.

Questions

Who explains a Treasury bill without putting a yield on the page?
Treasuries@ can give the firm's short definition and say whether this desk serves a first-time reader. The text stops before a rate. Clients@ is for an account that already exists. A yield in either reply would be a quote this page does not carry.
Where does an institutional Treasury settlement question go instead?
Settlements@ takes the fail, the date, and the identifier. That button should be labeled for operations, not for a lesson about bills. If the firm clears through another party, the page says so in the firm's words and does not invent a window.
Can this Treasury page call a bill or a note safe?
No. The page will not call a bill, a note, or a longer Treasury a safe choice, and it will not rank them against each other. Coverage is a yes-or-no about whether the desk trades the instrument. Safety is a claim this site leaves off.
What auction detail is this Treasury desk allowed to print?
Only a cutoff the firm actually uses, published by treasuries@ for people who already know the calendar. A guessed time is worse than leaving the line blank. The page does not explain how to bid and does not attach a yield to the auction.
