An after-hours umbrella schedule needs its own mailbox.
After hours, an underlying schedule sent to the public mailbox starts the umbrella talk blind. The limits underneath are the whole conversation, and they were in that attachment. By morning the file is mixed with unrelated replies. underlying@ exists so the schedule has a door that is still the right door at night. Motus will not say a lawsuit would be paid.
Night mail that should hit underlying@
Say it above the fold: an underlying schedule goes to underlying@ even when the office is closed. The public form can still accept a name and a phone, and the attachment note should name that address. A schedule that lands in a generic box is how the umbrella conversation starts without the policies underneath. Auto and home links can sit beside that instruction for the same household.
Write what the schedule is, in case the visitor calls it a dec page or a list. The desk needs the policies underneath, the carrier names the visitor already has, and the dates on those pages. Do not ask the visitor to retype every limit into a toy calculator. A PDF at underlying@ is enough to start, and a person does the reading.
Limits belong in the file, not a banner
Umbrella buyers ask how high the limit should sit. The page's answer is that the desk reads the schedule first and will not pick a number on a public screen. Motus will not choose a limit and will not illustrate one with a sample lawsuit. If the firm has a real minimum it requires before it will even talk, the firm can state that minimum in its own words.
Avoid a graphic that stacks cartoon policies into a shield. That picture reads like a promise that a loss above the underlying limits gets paid. The narrower sentence is the true one: send the schedule, and the desk will say what it still needs. quotes@ is for the household that does not yet have the schedule in hand.
Separate the quote from the night file
quotes@ and underlying@ are different jobs even inside a small firm. The quote question is who is asking and which house or cars sit in the household. The night file is the stack of policies already in force. Mixing them means the person handling new names is hunting for PDFs, and the person who reads PDFs is greeting strangers.
A commercial umbrella can be named on the same site only if the firm actually places it. A personal schedule and a business schedule should not use one unlabeled upload. Say which address is which in a single line. Nothing on this page says a lawsuit would be covered, defended, or paid by anyone.
Growth fits an umbrella desk that receives underlying schedules after hours and still needs quotes@ for new households. Authority fits when personal and commercial schedules are separate paths.
Motus is not an insurance producer. We do not quote a premium, bind coverage, or say anyone is covered.

Questions
- Where should an underlying schedule go for an umbrella insurance quote?
- Send the schedule to underlying@, including after the office closes, so the file is not in a public pile. Include the policies underneath and the dates already on those pages. Motus will not say a lawsuit would be paid. A person reads the PDF before any limit talk starts.
- Why does an umbrella insurance page refuse to print a limit?
- A limit without the underlying schedule is a guess, and a guess on a homepage looks like an offer. The desk reads the file first. The site's work is to get the PDF to underlying@ and to keep a sample number off the screen. Motus will not choose the figure.
- What gets lost when umbrella schedules arrive only at the public address?
- The attachment sits with unrelated mail until someone notices, and the next conversation starts without the policies underneath. That blind start is what the page is supposed to prevent. underlying@ is the door that stays labeled at night, separate from quotes@ for a new household.
- Does Motus decide an umbrella insurance lawsuit would be paid?
- No. The page must not say a lawsuit would be defended or paid. Motus publishes the site and the three addresses: umbrella@, underlying@, and quotes@. Any opinion about a claim stays with the firm that already does this work. A website graphic of a shield is not that opinion.
