A cotton site that receives the classing sheet.

A classing sheet clipped above the keyboard is what the merchant is holding, and classing@ is the address that should receive it. cotton@ is for the commercial question. merchants@ is for a house the desk already knows. The page can ask for bale marks and for the shipment window the firm actually wants. It does not price the bale, and Motus does not class cotton or invent a staple reading.

The classing sheet is the object

The merchant is holding classing results, not looking for a brand story. classing@ should be the address printed next to the words classing sheet. The form asks for the bale marks the firm wants and for the shipment window. It does not ask for a price. cotton@ is the commercial door when the note is not a classing question. merchants@ is for a house that already trades with the desk.

Do not summarize a classing sheet into a staple or a color the studio guessed. If the firm wants those fields on the form, the firm names the fields. The page stores nothing. It emails the firm. A public table of recent bales with prices is the object to delete if it exists. Motus will not rebuild that table in a nicer font.

Where a bale question should land

A question about a specific bale, a mark, or a classing result lands at classing@. A question about whether the desk wants to discuss a lot lands at cotton@ or merchants@, and the page should say which kind of writer uses which. The split is the point of the site. A single contact form treats a classing clerk and a merchant as the same person. They are not writing the same note.

Shipment questions name a window and a destination the firm recognizes. They do not become a booking confirmation in the auto-reply. The auto-reply can say the note arrived at classing@ or at cotton@. It cannot say the bale is sold or the freight is set. Motus does not class fiber and does not own a warehouse. Any warehouse the firm names is the firm's to describe.

Shipment talk with no bale price

Keep price words out of the shipment paragraph. A reader who sees a bale count next to a dollar figure will treat it as an offer. You may mention that the desk discusses shipments of classed bales. You may not show a number per bale, a basis, or a landing figure. If an old page has a PDF price list, take the PDF off. Motus will not redesign the list. Removal is the edit.

merchants@ belongs in the footer next to classing@ and cotton@, each with a four-word label. Classing sheet. Commercial note. Merchant house. Labels that short are harder to get wrong. The body can explain once. The header should not be a slogan about soft fiber or global mills. The merchant with the sheet does not need the slogan. The merchant needs the address.

Growth fits a cotton desk that wants classing@ on the contact page so a classing sheet is not priced or stranded in merchants@.

Motus does not buy or sell a commodity, quote a price, or arrange a physical delivery.

Questions

Where should a cotton classing sheet be sent by email?
To classing@, which should be printed next to those words. Include the bale marks the firm asked for and the shipment window. cotton@ is the commercial door when the note is not classing. merchants@ is a house that already trades with the desk. The page does not price the bale.
Does the cotton page put a price on any bale?
No. A public table of bales with prices comes off, and Motus will not rebuild it. No basis and no landing figure. The auto-reply can say which inbox received the note. It cannot say the bale is sold. Motus does not class fiber.
What shipment facts can the page request from a merchant?
A window and a destination the firm recognizes. That request is not a booking, and the auto-reply must not confirm freight. classing@ still receives the classing sheet. cotton@ receives a commercial note. Motus does not own a warehouse and will not set a freight figure.
Who should use merchants@ on a cotton trading desk?
A house the desk already knows, for a merchant-to-merchant note rather than a classing sheet. The footer should label it in a few words next to classing@ and cotton@. A classing clerk should not be pushed there. Motus does not answer the mailbox.
