A scrap site that deletes the posted number.

The posted scrap number sitting in the hero has to come off before any other line is trusted. A yard and a mill do not fill out the same form. yards@ is for the yard, mills@ is for the mill, and scrap@ holds the commercial note. Ask for the grade the firm already buys or sells. Do not type a price beside it. Motus has no yard and will not pretend to.

Delete the posted scrap number

The number in the hero, whether it is per pound or per tonne, comes off. It is the sentence the site gets wrong, and updating it daily would still be a price Motus should not host. Replace it with the grades the firm actually buys or sells, and with two forms. yards@ is the yard form. mills@ is the mill form. scrap@ is the commercial note that is neither a scale ticket nor a mill order.

A grade list without prices is useful. A grade list with a column of numbers is the old mistake in a table. Delete the column. If the firm needs to describe preparation, it describes preparation in words, not in a deduction schedule that functions as a price. Motus has no yard, so a photo of a yard must be the firm's photo, captioned without a number. We will not stage a stock pile of metal and call it theirs.

A yard form is not a mill form

The yard form asks for grade, location of the material as the yard reports it, and a contact who can walk the pile. It does not ask for a delivered mill price. The mill form asks for the grade the mill wants and the specification the mill already uses. It does not ask the mill to bid in public. scrap@ is for a conversation that is not a scale ticket and not a melt order. Label all three in the menu.

A yard manager on a phone and a mill buyer on a laptop should not land in the same thank-you page that says a trader will quote them. The thank-you page should name the inbox that received the note and repeat that no price was requested or given. Motus will not follow up with a quote. The firm follows up if it wants to. The website's job ended when the mail arrived at the right door.

Grade language the desk already uses

Use the grade names the desk uses with yards and mills. Do not translate them into a consumer metaphor. A short glossary is fine if the firm writes the definitions. A glossary that includes prices is not fine. Put the glossary on the page only after the two forms, so the path to yards@ and mills@ is seen first. scrap@ can be explained in one line: commercial notes that are not a yard ticket and not a mill order.

Do not claim a consumer recycling program, a municipal contract, or a yard count. Those claims are how a desk site turns into a directory of facilities Motus does not have. The firm may say which grades it discusses. The firm may name a mill it already knows, in sentences it will defend. The page stops there. No price, no pickup promise, and no sentence that this studio will send a truck.

Starter fits a scrap desk that needs yards@ and mills@ as different forms, and that must take the posted grade price off the homepage.

Motus does not buy or sell a commodity, quote a price, or arrange a physical delivery.

The package

Questions

Why delete a posted price from a scrap metals homepage?
Because the number reads as an offer, even if someone plans to update it daily. Grades can stay, as names, without a column of figures. yards@ and mills@ are different forms. Motus has no yard and will not host a price. scrap@ is the commercial note.
How should a scrap yard form differ from a mill form?
The yard form asks for grade and a contact who can walk the pile. The mill form asks for the grade and specification the mill already uses. Neither asks for a public bid. The thank-you page names the inbox and says no price was given. Motus will not follow up with a quote.
Which scrap inbox is reserved for mills rather than yards?
mills@ is the mill form. yards@ is the yard form. scrap@ is neither a scale ticket nor a melt order. Put all three in the menu so a mill buyer and a yard manager do not share one thank-you that promises a quote. Motus has no facility list to sell.
Does Motus own a yard because a metals page names one?
No. A yard photo must be the firm's, captioned without a number. Motus will not stage stock metal and call it the firm's. The page may name grades the desk discusses. It may not promise a pickup or send a truck. There is no posted scrap price.
