A precious metals site that keeps vault mail private.
A vault officer and a retail buyer carry different risks, and one public sales line should not catch both. vaults@ is for an assay question or a bar the firm already discusses with a vault. It is not the public sales line. metals@ can take a commercial inquiry. clients@ is for a relationship. Motus does not store metal, does not print a spot price, and does not say a bar is allocated.
Vault mail is not the sales line
vaults@ is for an assay question, a bar reference, or a vault the firm already deals with. It is not the public sales line, and the page should say that twice, because a retail buyer will use the first serious-looking address. metals@ is the commercial door for a professional inquiry. clients@ is an existing relationship. A retail visitor who wants a coin price should be told this page does not publish one. Motus will not add a spot widget to be helpful.
Do not list vault locations as if Motus operated them or as if the firm stored metal there unless the firm writes that sentence and owns it. Even then, prefer the desk discusses vaults over an address of a room. A street address of a vault on a public sales page is a risk the studio should not create for drama. If the firm insists, the firm supplies it. We do not look one up.
Assay papers have a quiet address
An assay is a document. The form asks who issued it only if the firm wants that field, and it asks for the bar identifier the firm uses. Those files go to vaults@, not to a sales queue. Do not publish assay results as marketing. A result on a homepage looks like a guarantee of fineness for metal the visitor has never seen. Motus does not assay metal and does not guarantee fineness.
Retail and vault traffic should be visually separate. The retail visitor, if the firm even wants one, sees metals@ and a sentence that prices are not posted. The vault visitor sees vaults@ without a promotional banner. clients@ sits with the relationship language, not with a get-a-quote button. There is no quote button. A quote button is how a spot price sneaks back onto the site in the form of a promise to call with a number we will not set.
Bars are described and never priced
The firm may say it discusses bars of a named metal. It may not list live prices, premiums, or from-prices that are really offers. A bar photo needs a caption that does not state weight as available inventory unless the firm will stand behind a specific piece, and even then Motus would rather the photo stay off. Allocated, unallocated, and pooled are words the firm can define for itself. We will not define them into a product.
metals@ receives the commercial note and should ask which metal and whether the writer is a client or a new inquiry. It should not ask for a target price. vaults@ should not be copied on every sales email by the website's design. If the firm wants a copy, that is an internal rule, not a public promise that a vault will reply. Motus does not store the bar, insure it, or move it. Storage, if it exists, is the firm's affair.
Growth fits a precious metals desk that keeps vaults@ off the public sales path, so an assay question is not mixed with a retail note.
Motus does not buy or sell a commodity, quote a price, or arrange a physical delivery.

Questions
- Why is vault mail kept off a precious metals sales line?
- Because a vault question and a retail buyer question are different risks. vaults@ is for an assay or a bar reference, not for a coin price. metals@ is the commercial door. A retail visitor should be told that no spot price is posted. Motus will not add a spot widget.
- Does the precious metals page print any spot price?
- No. Live prices, premiums, and from-prices that are really offers stay off. The firm may say it discusses bars of a named metal. Motus does not store the bar, insure it, or move it. Storage, if any, is the firm's affair, described by the firm.
- Where should an assay question about a bar be sent?
- To vaults@, with the bar identifier the firm uses. Do not publish the assay result as marketing. A fineness claim on the homepage is out. Motus does not assay metal and does not guarantee fineness. metals@ should not be the default copy for every assay file.
- Can Motus store a bar for a precious metals client?
- No. Motus does not store metal and does not look up a vault address to publish. Prefer a sentence that the desk discusses vaults over a street address of a room. clients@ is an existing relationship, not a storage contract. There is no quote button.
