Grower maps and agent notices need different crop doors.
A grower carrying acreage maps and an agent carrying a claim notice are different senders with different files. The maps belong at growers@. The notice belongs at agents@ when the agent is the one writing. crop@ is the public door when the sender is neither, or when there is a question and no file. Motus does not file a government crop form and does not promise a yield.
Growers with maps and agents with notices
growers@ receives acreage maps, planting dates, and the entity name on the farm papers the grower already uses. agents@ receives mail from an agent the firm already works with, including a claim notice that agent is passing along. crop@ stays the public door for anyone who fits neither description. One address with a friendly department name collapses the map and the notice into the same unread pile.
Say whether the firm wants a PDF, a scan, or another file type it can actually open. Do not demand a password to a government portal. Motus will not ask for a government password and will not file a government crop form. The grower or the agent handles whatever official form their own process requires, away from this website and away from our inboxes.
Planting dates are facts, not a forecast
The form asks when planting happened or is planned, because the desk needs the date the grower knows from the field. It does not turn that date into a yield, a commodity price, or a weather promise. Motus will not estimate bushels, tons, or a loss ratio from a calendar entry. Leave prices and forecasts off the page entirely, including the captions under field photos.
If the firm handles only certain crops, name those crops and delete the picturesque rest. A photo of a generic green field is not a crop list and should not be asked to function as one. Links to cargo or to a general commercial desk are for readers who are shipping goods or insuring a business, not standing in a field. Label them so a grower does not wander into a freight form by mistake.
Claim notices from agents stay labeled
An agent with a claim notice should see agents@ in the same block as growers@, with a line that says a notice is not a map. Include the identifier the agent already has and the date of loss they were told. Do not ask the agent to redraw acreage when the map is already on file with the desk. Say that clearly, so the notice is not delayed by a request to redraw a field boundary.
No sentence on this page should promise the claim will be paid or that a yield will be made whole. The page routes the notice to the right people. The firm talks to its market under its own authority. A website cannot file the grower's government paperwork, and the footer should not hint, even politely, that it does.
Growth fits a crop desk that must separate growers@ maps from agents@ claim notices. Starter fits when crop@ is a person who sorts maps from notices the same morning.

Questions
- Where should growers send acreage maps for crop insurance?
- Send the maps, the planting dates, and the farm entity name to growers@. Use a file type the firm said it can open. Motus does not file a government crop form and will not ask for a government password. crop@ is for a question that has no map attached yet.
- Which crop insurance address should an agent use for a claim notice?
- Agents the firm already works with use agents@ for the notice, the date of loss, and the identifier they already hold. They do not need to redraw acreage that is already on file. The page does not promise the claim is paid or that a yield will be restored. Maps from the grower still go to growers@.
- Will a crop insurance page estimate yield from a planting date?
- No. The planting date is a fact the grower knows, not a forecast and not a price. Motus will not estimate bushels, tons, a commodity figure, or a loss ratio. Those numbers stay off the site, including under photographs of fields. The desk reads the date and answers as itself.
- Does Motus file government paperwork for a crop insurance grower?
- No. Official forms stay with the grower or the agent and with their own process, off this website. The page does not take a portal password and does not file the form. It only shows which mailbox gets the acreage map and which mailbox gets the claim notice. A green field photo changes none of that.
