Name the professions you place and drop the coverage line.
Your profession is covered is the sentence a professional liability page should delete before anything else. Name the professions the desk actually places, and name where a claim notice goes the same day. A retroactive date is a field on the application, not a promise that older work is inside. Motus will not give a coverage opinion. applications@ takes the new form, claims@ the notice, and liability@ explains which is which.
Professions you place, and only those
Write the professions in a list the firm approved: the occupations it really submits, not every licensed job in the country. A designer and a consultant are not the same application, and the firm should not pretend they are if it only places one of them. Delete the rest of the list before launch. A visitor who does not see their work should be told to ask liability@ rather than assumed to be included.
Do not print a line that the profession is covered. Say the desk places professional liability for the named list, and that a person has to see the application before any next step. That is as far as a public page can honestly go. An icon of a handshake does not add a profession the firm has never submitted.
Retroactive dates stay on the application
People ask whether yesterday's project, or work from several years ago, sits inside the form they are about to send. The page points them to the retroactive date question on the firm's application and tells them to send that application to applications@. Motus will not interpret the date or convert it into a yes. The firm should not want a homepage sentence that older projects are automatically inside.
If the firm's application uses a different label than the word retroactive, print the firm's label and the common word together once, so a visitor can match them. Do not invent a sample date to make the field look alive. Sample dates become promises the moment they are specific. Leave the example blank and let the application carry the real one.
Claim notices need claims@ the same day
A client letter, a demand, or a summons goes to claims@ with the date it was received. Do not make the professional finish a brand-new application before the notice is even logged by the desk. The page can state the firm's real hours for reading claims@. It cannot say the claim is accepted, denied, or handed to counsel by this studio.
Directors-and-officers and cyber links are neighbors, and the labels should say they are other lines. A professional who also sits on a board may need both conversations, and the site should not merge the two forms into one upload. liability@ is the address that explains the split when someone is unsure. Coverage opinions stay off the site, including the footnotes.
Growth fits a professional liability desk that must list real professions and keep claim notices out of applications@. Starter fits a short list and one reader who still honors the labels.

Questions
- Which professions belong on a professional liability page?
- Only occupations the firm actually submits, written by the firm, not every job a stock icon can suggest. Someone who does not see their work should write liability@ instead of assuming they are included. The page does not say any profession is covered. Motus will not lengthen the list to look broader.
- Where does a professional liability claim notice go on the site?
- It goes to claims@ with the date the letter arrived, and it should not wait on a fresh application. applications@ is for the new form and for the retroactive date question. Motus will not give a coverage opinion on that notice. The desk answers under its own authority and its own hours.
- Why is a retroactive date not a promise on professional liability pages?
- A date on an application is a fact the desk and its market read together. A homepage that says older work is automatically included is a coverage opinion, and Motus will not write one. We also will not invent a sample date to decorate the field. Send the firm's form to applications@.
- Can Motus decide a professional liability dispute is covered?
- No. Accepted, denied, and assigned to counsel are not sentences this studio writes. The page names the professions and the mailboxes liability@, applications@, and claims@. The firm speaks to the notice under its own authority. A retroactive date on a form is not that speech.
