A cedent slip is reinsurance work, not a retail quote.

A cedent's slip is the document on the desk, and it is not a retail quote. Treaty mail and facultative mail are different desks even when one firm houses both. treaty@ takes the treaty slip, facultative@ takes the single-risk slip, and claims@ takes a loss notice on business already in force. Motus does not place a treaty and does not quote a rate on line. A page that mixes those slips with a household form is the mistake.

A cedent slip is not a retail quote

Open by saying the person in this conversation is a cedent, not a household comparing car options. The slip is the object, and treaty@ is where a treaty slip goes when that is the file. Do not offer a personal-lines form on this page, even as a friendly extra. Do not translate the slip into a consumer-style quote with a monthly figure underneath.

The firm can describe the treaty kinds it actually works, using its own vocabulary and no extra ornaments. Motus will not add kinds of treaties to sound global or busy. If the firm does not work a kind, that kind stays off the navigation. A world map with every country filled in is the same exaggeration drawn in color.

Treaty mail is not facultative mail

facultative@ receives a single-risk slip and the cedent's note about that one risk. treaty@ receives the treaty slip and the period the cedent already uses, if the firm wants that file in this mailbox. The page should define each split in one plain sentence, without a lecture on market structure. People who live in this work still send to the wrong box when the labels are clever instead of literal.

claims@ is for a loss notice on business the firm already placed, not for a brand-new slip looking for a home. Say that so a loss does not sit inside a submission pile until someone notices the subject line. Motus does not place a treaty, does not place a facultative risk, and does not quote a rate on line. Those acts stay with the firm, off the public page.

No rate on line belongs in public

A rate on line is a figure this studio will not print, estimate, or hint at with a range in the hero. The page can say the desk talks about terms only after it has the slip, and that the talk is not hosted on the website. No sample percentage and no illustrated loss result belongs above the addresses. If the firm publishes a commentary, the firm writes it and owns every figure inside it.

Links to wholesale, excess, or a London-market page can sit low for a cedent who opened the wrong door. Label them as other desks rather than as steps in one funnel. Do not imply that a slip sent to treaty@ has been placed in any city. Placement is not a feature of the page, and a confirmation of upload is only a receipt of a file.

Authority fits a reinsurance desk that must explain treaty@ and facultative@ as separate slip doors. Growth fits when those labels are enough and claims@ is already a habit.

Motus is not an insurance producer. We do not quote a premium, bind coverage, or say anyone is covered.

Questions

Where should a cedent send a treaty slip for reinsurance?
A treaty slip goes to treaty@, and a single-risk slip goes to facultative@. Neither mailbox is a retail quote, and neither one should sit on a household form. Motus does not place a treaty. An upload receipt is not placement and not a rate on line.
Will a reinsurance website quote a rate on line?
No. Motus does not quote a rate on line, print a sample percentage, or hint at one with a range. Terms, if the firm discusses any, are discussed by the firm after it has the slip in hand. The website does not host that number. A cedent's font does not turn the page into a quote.
Which reinsurance address gets a loss notice instead of a new slip?
claims@ receives a loss on business the firm already placed. New slips stay at treaty@ or facultative@, matched to the kind of slip the cedent actually holds. A loss should not wait in a submission pile because the subject line was vague. The page says that split in one sentence each.
Does Motus place reinsurance when a cedent uploads a slip?
No. An upload is a file arriving at the firm's mailbox, nothing more. Placement, if it happens, is the firm's work under the firm's own authority. The page's job is to keep treaty, facultative, and claims from sharing one door. Motus does not quote a rate on line either.
