An evening inspection file has to beat the morning call
In the evening, an inspection report is the file that gets lost if it waits in a shared inbox until a buyer calls at dawn. It has to reach inspections@ before that morning call. The page asks hours and serial from the firm's record and does not invent a price. Motus will not print a figure the firm has not agreed to honor.
Evening inspection files before morning calls
An inspection report that arrives in the evening has to be in inspections@ before a buyer calls in the morning. If it lands in a general box, the person who answers at dawn is looking at hours and serial with no report beside them. The heavy equipment page says where the file goes, in a line a sender can follow without calling first.
equipment@ is for a question about the desk itself. buyers@ is for someone who wants a machine that is already listed. inspections@ is only for the report and the notes that belong with it. Three addresses look fussy until the morning when the report is missing. Then they are the whole point of the page.
Hours and serial from the machine plate
Hours come from the meter reading the firm recorded, with the date of that reading if the firm has it. Serial comes from the plate, copied character by character. We do not correct a serial to match a catalog photo, and we do not average hours across similar machines. Each unit stands on its own line or it is not on the site.
Location of the machine is included when the firm wants buyers to know it. A yard name the firm does not operate is not added for color. Motus does not have a yard, and it will not pretend the equipment is sitting in one. The heavy equipment card can name the firm's own location in the firm's words, or it can leave the line off.
A price only the firm will honor
A price goes on the heavy equipment page only when the firm will honor it. If the firm will not, the line is omitted. Motus will not invent a figure to make the card look serious, and it will not leave last season's number up after the firm has withdrawn it. An honored price is the firm's sentence. A guessed price is a problem we refuse to create.
Inspection status is described as received, not received, or not offered. It is not described as a passing grade Motus awarded. The report itself stays with inspections@ until the firm decides a buyer may see it. buyers@ can be told that a report exists. buyers@ should not be the place the file was sent in the evening.
Growth fits a heavy equipment desk that routes an evening inspection file to inspections@ before a morning buyer reaches buyers@.
Motus does not sell a vessel, an aircraft, or a machine, and does not certify that one is airworthy or seaworthy.

Questions
- Where should an evening heavy equipment inspection report be sent?
- inspections@, before a buyer calls in the morning. equipment@ is for a question about the desk. buyers@ is for a machine already listed. Motus will not invent a price if the report is what the sender actually has.
- What heavy equipment facts are copied from the plate?
- Serial, character by character, and hours from the meter reading the firm recorded. We do not average hours across similar machines. A price appears only when the firm will honor it. Motus does not have a yard to place the unit in.
- When is a price allowed on the public machine card?
- Only when the firm will honor it. If the firm withdraws the number, it comes off. An inspection can be described as received or not received. It is not a passing grade awarded by Motus.
- Who answers a morning caller if the report arrived late?
- A person at the firm, using whatever reached inspections@ overnight. The page exists so the sender knows that address before the call. Hours and serial without the report are a weaker conversation. Motus does not take the buyer's call.
