A condition report is not a sale price

A condition report sits on the visitor's desk before any number does. The page names the artists or categories this desk already handles and shows where a consignment question goes. Provenance notes sit beside the condition language the firm already uses. Motus does not invent a sale price and does not promise that an object is authentic.

What the condition report is for

The object in front of a collector is the condition report, not a guessed price. Say which artists or categories the desk already handles, using the firm's own words. If a category is outside the desk, say that in one plain line. A visitor who needs a different specialist should see the limit before writing.

Provenance is a file the firm already keeps, not a slogan under a photograph. Name only the fields the desk is willing to show. Motus will not certify that a work is authentic. A sentence that promises authenticity asks this studio to make a claim it does not make and the firm may not want public.

Where a consignment question should land

Consignment terms are a separate note from the condition report. Send that question to art@ when the visitor is asking which artists the desk already takes. A collector comparing terms should write collectors@. Mixing those notes means a consignment deadline sits under a general hello. Print both addresses and say which subject belongs where.

condition@ is the inbox for photographs, measurements, and the written report the firm already prepares. Do not ask that address to quote a number. Motus does not publish a sale price for any object. If the firm already uses a public asking figure, that figure comes from the firm, not from this studio.

Artists and categories already on the desk

List the artists or categories the desk already handles, and keep the list short enough to read. A long grid of names the firm has never taken reads like a directory, and Motus does not publish one. One sentence per category is enough: what the desk accepts on consignment, and what it declines.

Collectors writing about a specific object should see condition@ before a form with no label. If the firm wants a form, ask for the object type and whether a condition report already exists. Do not ask Motus to judge the work. The studio builds the page and the mailboxes. The firm decides what the report says.

Growth fits an art desk that needs separate mail for condition reports, collector notes, and consignment questions without a price invented by Motus.

Motus does not provide the specialist service in the headline. We publish the site and connect the email.

Questions

Where should an art condition report be sent?
Send photographs and the written report to condition@. Questions about which artists the desk takes can go to art@. Motus does not set a sale price and does not promise that any object is authentic. The firm writes the report it already uses.
What does a collectibles consignment note need to say?
It should name the object type, the consignment terms the firm already offers, and the inbox that receives them, which is collectors@. It should not invent a number. Provenance language stays limited to notes the firm is willing to show. Motus does not certify authenticity.
Who writes the provenance line on this page?
The firm writes it. The page can show the fields the desk already records and can point a visitor to condition@ for the report. Motus will not add a sale price and will not state that a work is authentic. If a fact is missing, leave it off the page.
Can Motus promise an art object is authentic?
No. Authenticity is the firm's statement, if the firm is prepared to make one, and it is not a line Motus adds. The public page carries the condition report path and the consignment path. A visitor who needs the report writes condition@.
