What to put on a trucking website

A trucking website has one job. A person who does not know you should be able to tell what you haul, where, and how to reach dispatch. Everything else is optional. Motus builds that set of pages. We do not stuff them with numbers you do not have.

The five pages that do the work

Home: the equipment and the phone, in the first screen. About: the legal name, the city of the yard, and how long you have actually been operating. Equipment: trailer types with real photos if you have them. Lanes or service area: the corridors you want, not a map of the continent. Contact: click-to-call, a form, and the company email addresses.

What to leave off

Leave off another carrier's statistics, a stock '99.8% on time' line, and any logo that implies FMCSA endorses the site. Leave off a customer list you cannot stand behind. Representative design samples on our work page are labeled samples for this reason.

Leave off a blog until you have something to say. Authority includes three starter articles when you want them. Starter does not pretend to be a magazine.

Write it the way dispatch talks

Name the trailer, the metro, and the freight. 'Reefer from the Valley into Denver' is a page. 'Solutions for your supply chain' is not. The same plain speech belongs in the title tag, because that is what a broker types.

Five pages is Starter. Extra lane and equipment pages are Growth. A custom quote flow is Authority.

The package

Starter is $274, Growth is $597, and Authority is $1,197. Each price is one time. Year-1 hosting is included, then hosting is $150 a year. Company email on your domain is part of a transportation launch. A mailbox-provider seat fee and a registrar's domain fee are quoted before they start. The breakdown is on what a trucking website costs.

Questions

Do I need a blog to rank?
No. A clear service page beats a thin blog. We add articles on Authority when there is something true to publish.
Should I list every state?
List the lanes you want. A page that claims all 50 states with no yard and no equipment is easier to distrust than a short honest list.
Can you write the copy?
Authority includes full copywriting. On Starter and Growth we use what you tell us and keep it plain. We do not invent metrics.
Where do the photos come from?
Your trucks, your yard, your people. If a photo is not yours, we do not put it on the site as if it were.
